The SHOW 2010 Event
This year's event was great! The talent was extraordinary and the participants worked really hard to provide an entertaining evening to an audience of more than five hundred. For all of you who supported us or even just encouraged our students during this process, we "thank you."

Alex Hall
Alex Hall is a 15 year old country music singer/songwriter. He began singing at an early age and desires to pursue a career as a country music performing artist. Alex is a former member of the CMSC Chamber Choir and is currently a member of the CHS Choral Program. Alex regularly performs at a number of local venues and will soon be performing at "Tootsie's" in Nashville.
Alex recorded his first album at Quad Studios in Nashville last summer. He also recently took another trip to Nashville for a song-writing session. He'll be performing one of his new songs at The SHOW.

Skyler Passmore
Skyler Passmore is a 16 year old singer-songwriter. He began playing piano in 5th grade and taught himself guitar in 7th. Skyler is an alumni of Mr. Elliott's chamber choir, has sung in the I Cantori and participates in musical theatre. He plays periodic gigs at Inman Perk Coffee on the Gainesville square and is currently interning at a local recording studio.
Skyler's influences range from genres such as folk, alternative, punk, european, and video game music.

Joshua Pass
Joshua Pass is in 8th Grade. He has chosen to sing "Give Me Your Eyes" by Brandon Heath. Joshua Chose this song because it says with God all things are possible. Joshua has been interested in music for years and recognizes that he's been blessed with a good voice. You may be surprised to know that Joshua is a PK...a pastor's kid.
David Funk
David Funk is a 12-year-old pianist and singer. He has chosen to sing "Every Man" by Casting Crowns for The SHOW. David loves to sing and also enjoys playing tennis and basketball. Give it up for David Funk!
Megan Waldrep
Megan Waldrep is 14 years old and is in the 8th grade. She's chosen to sing "Stop and Stare" by One Republic. She's been interested in music since 6th grade. Megan also enjoys playing piano, video games, and hanging out with her friends. You may be surprised to know that Megan loves skateboarding.
Joshua Bennett
Joshua Bennett is 13 years old and is in the 8th grade. He has chosen to sing "I Can Only Imagine" because he likes the song and it was sang at his grandfather's funeral, so the song has a special meaning to him. Joshua has been interested in music for the past 3 years. He also enjoys playing guitar and writing music.
Hunter Creamer
Hunter Creamer is 13 years old student and in the 7th grade. He is a second year student in chorus and has just made All State Chorus, where he will be singing in Savannah at the end of February. He was a member of the Jr. War Eagles football team, the 7th grade Basketball team, and is a member of the National Honor Society. Hunter loves to listen to all kinds of music, lift weights, play football, basketball, and any other sport.
Caleb Harlon
Caleb Harlon is 13 years old and is in the 8th grade. He'll be dancing to a song titled "Tie Me Down." He's chosen this song because it's fairly popular and he feels he can dance to it better than most songs. Caleb has really started to enjoy dancing over the past four years. Caleb also enjoys playing basketball, running, spending time on the lake, Facebook, XboxLive, shopping, and of course...eating. You may be surprised to know that Caleb has met T.I. You may also be interested to know that Caleb can roller skate really well.
Erica Salas
Erica Salas is a fourteen year old 8th grader. She will be singing "Hallelujah." Erica has chosen this sogn because it's not a song you hear everyday. She's been interested in music since 3rd grade. Her passion for music developed in 6th grade as a first-year chorus student. Erica is also an amateur pianist. She loves to draw and write. Writing, she says, give her a chance to express herself freely through words. She loves singing and hopes you'll enjoy The SHOW!
Olivia Buice
Olivia Buice is 13 years old and is in the 7th grade. She's chosen to sing "The Climb" by Miley Cyrus. She likes this song because it show her that she'll make it through life with God's help. She's been singing since she was 2 years old, and she also enjoys playing piano.

Olivia Metzdorf is 13 years old and is in the 8th grade. She will be singing "Reflection" by Christina Aguilera at The Show. Olivia has chosen this song because she likes the way the chorus sounds. She's been interested in music since fourth grade. She loves music! Olivia is also interested in swimming and playing the piano. She aslo wants you to know that she snaps with her pinkies! It's an amazing talent!
Megan Collins
Megan Collins is an 8th grade student at CMS. She's 13 years old. Megan will be singing "The Best Day" by Taylor Swift. She's chosen to sing this song for her mom. Megan has been interested in music since she was a little girl and also enjoys track and making people laugh. And, you may be surprised to know that Megan can talk to walls?

Eric and Danny
Erick Castruita and Danny Tran will be dancing to a mix of 3 of their favorite songs. Danny has been interested in dancing for about a year and Erick's interest was sparked more recently. Both Erick and Danny are interested in sports and enjoy trying new things. You may be surprised to know that both Danny and Erick will be participating in competition cheerleading next year.

Hey...we really need your help! We want to promote this event like crazy! Here's how you can help...right-click on the logo to the left and post it on your favorite social networking site. As for info about the event, it will take place on February 20 at 7:00 in the CMS Gym. You can take a look above and see the contestants and special guests. I've got friends coming in to do some cool stuff with sound, lighting, and video. We'll also come up with something really cool to get some of our teachers involved. Last year was great, but I think this year can be even better! The tickets are $7.00 and are available from Mr. Elliott at the mIddle school and Mrs. West at the high school.
