Practice, Practice, Practice...
Learning music is like learning a new language. You need a good teacher to show you the ropes, but you also need to practice what you're learning — a lot — before it will feel natural and easy.

The drills on this website are more fun than writing in answers on paper, or doing problems in a book. Plus, you know right away if you get one wrong (and sometimes you can get a hint).

If we find that we like using this site, we will subscribe to it and open up some new features!  I think it would be great!  Play around on the site and see what you think.

VIRTUAL KEYBOARD

Click the keyboard to the left and you'll be taken to the "Virtual Keyboard."  It's a great way to become familiar with the piano keyboard and it gives you some cool beat options to go along with what you play.  Take a look at it.  This will be a great tool when we begin the process of building major scales.

This is great tool to use in preparation for tests including metronomic markings and their names.

Click on the Image Market logo to the left to visit their website and design a shirt for this year.  If you want email what you create, you will have to create an account.  It's free!  If you want to print it at home, that's fine too.  Email it or bring it in by Thursday, August 19th so we can take a vote.  Have fun playing on the website.  Create good things!
