FALL FUNDRAISER
This is the fundraiser that provides all of the funds for our program. Our choruses always do a great job fundraising. I'm hoping for a record year.
ALL-STATE CHORUS AUDITIONS
This is the first of audition of two in order to "make it" to All-State in Savannah, GA. Students are required to sings scales, a solo, tonal memories, and sight read. It's a difficult audition that required a lot of prepartion, but it's worth it. We have fun in the process.
FALL CONCERT
This event will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church in Gainesville, GA. This will be our first concert with all choirs in attendance. We will perform songs we've been working on in class and give the stage to some of our talented soloist. We usually have about 700 or so in attendance.
SOLO NIGHT
Seventh and Eight grade chorus students will be selected to perform at this event. Location is still up in the air, but it's sure to be a great event. This will be a first for us, so we're still working on the details.
9TH DISTRICT HONOR CHORUS
The 9th District Honor Chorus is a select group of choral students from District 9 middle and senior high schools. These students will rehearse together and perform selected music with guest conductors. These students are chosen based upon their vocal ability. Participation in this event is an honor and the participants should be congratulated.
CHAMBER CHOIR CAROL TOUR
The Chamber Choir will take a trip around Gainesville singing some of the timeless carols. It's a great day!
ALL-STATE CHORUS, SAVANNAH
The All-State Choruses are highly select groups of choral students from Georgia's middle and senior high schools who are brought together for the purposes of rehearsing and performing selected music with guest conductors. These students are required to pass two rigorous auditions to take part in this event. Participation in All-State Chorus is an honor and the participants should be congratulated on their accomplishment.
LARGE GROUP PERFORMANCE EVALUATION
Heritage Festivals strives to promote excellence among choirs, bands, and orchestras by providing the best opportunity for learning through seeing, experiencing, and interacting with other student performers and top music professionals. This year, we will take part in our 7th Heritage Festival. We can't wait!
